Dawn is a certified Personal Chef, a third-generation professional cook and owner of Your Chef, LLC.
She provided personal chef and catering services throughout the Seattle area until she and her husband David moved to Paris in 2004. While there she became very interested and involved in French culture and cuisine.
She enjoyed exploring the markets and immersing herself in French culture. She offered American cooking instruction to Parisians and French cooking instruction to Americans. Dawn was also very active in the Paris chapter of the American Women"s Group, lending her expertise by kitchen-testing recipes included in their 2005 cookbook, "Bistro Chez Moi" (the book is available at http://www.awgparis.org/.).
In the fall of 2009 Dawn invited a select group travelers and food-lovers to cook with her in the small hill town of Bonnieux in Southern France's Provence region. She is ready to create a personal experiece for your dates and number of travelers. See the Travel to France page for more details.
Dawn is a passionate advocate for the 100-Mile Diet. She encourages people to eat local, seasonal, organic foods not only for their optimal freshness, flavor, and nutrition, but also to support local food producers and to reduce the environmental cost of shipping foods long distances.

Chef Dawn and her husband David are currently living in central California working as a caretakers on a goat farm near Columbia, CA where Dawn practices her cheese making interests. When farm responsibilities permit, they are free to lead culinary travel trips and pursue house/pet sitting activities worldwide.
